Online therapy is as effective in terms of quality of outcome as in-person. It really comes down to your personal preference and this is supported consistently by studies on the subject. It's a trade off; if you need flexibility, then online may suit you, but if you prefer being in a psychical space with a therapist, then in-person may suit you better.
No. Burnout doesn’t require an official diagnosis. In fact, it’s recognised by the World Health Organisation as an occupational syndrome, what matters most is how you feel and how we can support you.

This is directly drawn from the ICD-11, the International Classification of Diseases, stating that burnout is a syndrome and not a disease. The DSM-5 does not currently recognise burnout, so it remains difficult to get a diagnoses from the medical world.
